Hi Friend,

Resilience is a trait we see over and over again in the trans asylum seekers we serve.

Resilience is fighting to survive detention then thriving as an activist calling for trans freedom.

Resilience is living as a target of hate then becoming an example of trans love.

Daniel, a trans man from Russia, was expelled multiple times from university and discriminated against in the workplace. The tide of anti-LGBTQ sentiment in the country was rising, so he had to flee. After winning asylum in the U.S., he became a proud linguist and father.

Watch him tell his story of resilience.
