John --
Today, the House held a vote on the next phase of our impeachment inquiry, and I unapologetically voted YES.
As the evidence continues to pile up, it's time to establish procedures for public hearings and invite Americans like you, John, into the process.
Our country's democracy, national security, and moral authority are at stake. The diligent pursuit of justice must continue to move forward regardless of the GOP's misinformation campaign and obstructive tactics.
Stand with House Democrats today by signing the petition to hold Trump and his administration accountable.
I've supported an impeachment inquiry since 2017. And with every action taken by the president, more and more members have come to see that this impeachment inquiry is necessary. As the evidence mounts, my resolve has only grown stronger since I first voted for an inquiry in 2017.
The president must -- and shall -- be held accountable. It's our duty to work for the citizens of this country. It is our duty, and it is written in the Constitution. All Americans who believe in the rule of law owe a debt of gratitude to the whistleblower and the witnesses who continue to come forward.
In solidarity,
Dwight
