Some fundraising appeals are hard to write, and I need you to join me in an exercise that shows why this is not one of them.

First, I need you to think about where we would be today if Democrats had not won the House Majority in 2018.

Next, just imagine the consequences of Republicans taking the Majority from us next year by defeating Democrats who supported the impeachment inquiry.

Then, decide if you want to contribute to the organization that played the single most important role in achieving the first of these and will be our first line of defense in avoiding the second.

Our Democrats who voted to hold Donald Trump accountable for his blatant abuses of power are now under powerful attacks from his followers. And I fear every ugly prejudice that still lurks in the nether regions of our society will be enlisted against them.

These Democratic House Members are talented, principled, courageous men and women who won’t kowtow to bullies -- but who will continue to fight for you and for me.

The DCCC’s huge End of Month Deadline in just 14 hours is the best thing you can do to make sure our basic democratic (small and big D) values will survive in 2020 as it did in 2018.
