Republicans are coming after Democrats in Georgia, John.

They just released new proposed congressional district maps, which redraw Rep. Lucy McBath’s district into solidly-Trump territory. Her new district voted for Trump with 57.8% of the vote in 2020.

This is a clear attempt to cut short the career of a rising star in the party. Rep. McBath ran for Congress after her son died by gun violence. She’s been a tireless champion for gun violence prevention, and is an asset to the Georgia delegation.
