Folks, Social Security is a critical lifeline for millions of hard-working Americans, yet Congress has consistently neglected its duty to maintain and improve the program. As a result, millions of seniors are living in poverty.
We can’t let this continue.
That’s why I’m incredibly proud to have cosponsored legislation to provide the first increase to Social Security benefits in 50 years.
This bill, Social Security 2100: A Sacred Trust , would increase benefits for Social Security recipients as well as for individuals providing care to a loved one. It would grant a dignified retirement for millions of Americans after a lifetime of work.
It is long past time to increase Social Security benefits. It’s up to us to let Congress know that we will not allow our seniors to live in poverty. Will you sign my petition today to let Congress know it’s time to increase benefits? [[link removed]]

In the 50 years since Social Security was last increased, the cost of living has skyrocketed. Prescription medications are more expensive than ever. Retirement is more and more elusive.
Living through COVID-19 has proved what many of us have known for a long time. Current benefits are not enough. They need to be increased if our seniors want a chance at honorable retirement.
Congress has put off its duty to enhance benefits for long enough. It’s time to act now. Add your name to let Congress know it’s time to increase social security benefits. [[link removed]]
