Dear John,

On Friday, Kyle Rittenhouse, who killed two people and injured another in the Kenosha protests against the unjust shooting of Jacob Blake, was acquitted of all charges. This injustice is underscored by the centuries of sacrifice and oppression that African Americans have had to endure, with many paying with their lives for far lesser crimes.

In the wake of the shooting of his son, Jacob Blake Sr. courageously rallied against a system stacked against him and other people of color. He joined voices with other families who have been the victims of police brutality and systemic racism throughout a turbulent 2020.

As an American Muslim, Mr. Blake, Sr. spoke of the universal values of faith that call upon us to seek justice and urged for us to work together in unity to redouble our efforts to achieve an equitable future for all.

MPAC will honor Jacob Blake, Sr. as our Keynote speaker on Sunday, December 5th at our 21st Annual Virtual Convention. We invite you to join us as we hear his courageous and uplifting remarks.

Register today as we raise our collective voice with Jacob Blake, Sr. in his struggle and come together as one Ummah in the pursuit of justice. Let us weave a better tomorrow into the next chapter in our story. Together.
