Today is a really special day: it's National Adoption Day, and I think that is
a reason for celebration! I was adopted when I was just five years old. My
parents saved my life when they decided to welcome me into their home and their
hearts.

Adoption is one of the most rewarding things that someone can do. I know that
my life would have been totally different had my parents not welcomed me with
open arms.
