Folks -- 

I need you to chip in $3 to our grassroots campaign today because the last thing the Senate needs is another millionaire.

Nearly two-thirds of U.S. Senators are millionaires. Heck, every single one of my GOP opponents is a millionaire! One even has a private yacht AND a vacation home in the Bahamas.

How can we expect any of them to look out for working families when they’re too busy schmoozing with right-wing billionaires and making backroom deals with special interests? 

An out-of-touch, far-right millionaire has no place representing Ohio in the U.S. Senate. But I have to be honest -- their fortunes put us at a huge disadvantage. 

If we want to make history by flipping Ohio’s open Senate seat blue, we’ll need a whole lot of people (that means you!) to help us overcome the GOP’s fundraising machine. 

I know $3 might not seem like a lot, but if everyone reading this email makes a donation, we’ll have the resources for the early investments we need to win this race. And we’ll have done it the right way -- with grassroots support. 

Please, contribute $3 or more to help us flip Ohio blue and stop Republicans from electing another far-right millionaire. Political forecasters say we have a real chance at winning this race, but not without you.

I’m proud of my working class roots. I was raised by a single mother who worked her you-know-what off to give us the opportunities she never had. But today, working folks like my mom are doing everything right and still can’t make ends meet.

That’s why I’m running to cut workers -- not millionaires -- in on the deal.
