We are one major step closer to making historic investments in our families and communities―the size and scope of which have not been seen since FDR’s New Deal.

As the fight turns to the Senate, there are several key components of the Build Back Better Act that are far from guaranteed:

• Paid family and medical leave was added into the House-passed bill, thanks to your advocacy. But it is in jeopardy in the Senate.

• A robust Child Tax Credit that reaches millions of U.S. children, including immigrants, passed the House. We have to fight to ensure ALL CHILDREN are included in the Senate version.

• Prescription drug price reform for seniors is a huge victory. Let’s make sure the Senate delivers.

• And, let’s make sure this bill is paid for by taxing the rich and corporations!

To finish the job, we need to keep the pressure on a handful of conservative Democratic senators who may be waffling on several key investments, from paid leave to the Child Tax Credit. These are critical investments in working people and families. We cannot let the Senate cut these essential provisions at the last minute.
