If you live in New York, you know as well as anyone that American infrastructure has been in dire need of repair and improvement.

That's always been easier said than done, especially when our state and local governments have been forced to patch & stitch our railways, airports, roads, and bridges without sufficient federal support.

But that's changing; not "eventually," not "soon," but now, John. Thanks to the Democratic Congress and President Biden for passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, New York will receive $1 trillion in federal support.

A win this big, with tangible and transformative policy that will uplift countless communities nationwide, merits a big thank you to our leaders for paving the way forward.

We can't think of a more fitting person to show our gratitude to than Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Here's some of what's got us so excited: In New York alone, $14 billion will be allocated for roads and bridges, $10.5 billion for transit systems across the state (including $1.5 billion for the Long Island Rail Road), $100 million for continued broadband deployment, $3 billion for clean water, and hundreds of millions of dollars for climate resiliency projects.

Nothing abstract about these numbers. They tell an undeniable story: Democrats are getting things done.

Senator Schumer collaborated with colleagues across the aisle and branches of government to deliver a real win for the American people. We think that deserves a moment of recognition; how about you, John?
