Dear John,

I began my journey in the Senate as a young intern in 1991, working for Delaware's Democratic senator at the time: Joe Biden. Since then, I've grown under his leadership and mentorship. Today, I'm proud to call him my friend and honored to serve in the very Senate seat he held for 36 years.

I know I'm not the only Delawarean who watched with great pride as Joe Biden became Vice President and then President. I've seen up close the way he fights every day for American families, and I've been honored to work alongside his administration to help our country build back better.

Since President Biden was sworn into office, we've administered millions of life-saving vaccines, gotten thousands of Americans back to work, and just passed the historic Infrastructure Investment and American Jobs Act. Today, on President Biden's birthday, will you join me in thanking him for his leadership?
