Hey there, It’s Congressman Adam Schiff. As you may know, I am the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. But I have another responsibility that you may be less familiar with: I am in charge of ensuring we keep Democratic Frontline Members in the House in 2022 by making sure they have the resources to compete and win.
I’m emailing you today because it’s critical we keep my good friend Antonio Delgado in Congress. In a moment,
I’m going to ask you to make a $3 contribution to his campaign, but first I want to explain why.
In the historic 2018 midterms, three House seats in New York State flipped from red to blue – one of those being NY-19. The seat Antonio currently holds.
But as we head into the 2022 midterms, Antonio is the only Democrat left out of those 3 seats. The other two flipped to Republicans last year.
And as of right now, Antonio is the only Democrat running in a swing district in all of New York State.
This race is going to be the most competitive House race in New York, and possibly the nation. We know the GOP is ready to spend millions to end our razor-thin Democratic majority in the House. And that’s why I’m asking for your help to ensure that Antonio has the resources to defend his seat in Congress.
Antonio Delgado is a dedicated public servant. He doesn’t let partisan games get in the way of getting the work done, and he relies on grassroots donors. He believes the core of his job is to represent his constituents – you can see that in his work. He always puts his constituents first.
And if we lose a member like him, someone so dedicated to their community, it’s likely we’d also lose the House to the GOP.
Antonio is the kind of representative every single voter across this country deserves. Someone who listens, who cares about their community, and fights like hell for them. Look,, we need to keep him in his seat and protect our Democratic majority.
