I’m very excited to let you know that the House of Representatives just voted to pass the Build Back Better Act! I’m proud to have voted for this land

Hello neighbors,

I’m very excited to let you know that the House of Representatives just voted to pass the Build Back Better Act! I’m proud to have voted for this landmark bill which is a milestone achievement for our kids, our grandkids, and American families. This is wonderful news for Americans all across the country, but I want to tell you why I personally supported the bill.

Build Back Better, supports the middle class by ensuring the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share. It includes several provisions that I fought for, which will:

  • Lower Drug Prices and Out-Of-Pocket Medication Costs
  • Make Healthcare More Accessible and Affordable
  • Fight the Climate Crisis
  • Keep Communities Connected with affordable broadband
  • Invest in Families by Making Child Care and Elder Care More Accessible
  • Invest in Universal Pre-K for Three- and Four-Year-Olds

I voted for the Build Back Better bill because it’s going to send necessary funds to our district. We are unleashing the potential of American workers and families by giving them the tools they need to succeed and I’m proud to have been a part of the cause.

Here in Sacramento, just like the rest of the country, we will see expanded access to quality home-based services and care for millions of older adults and people with disabilities. I fought for robust funding to lower carbon emissions that will combat the climate crisis and provide clean air for all. I also advocated for investments in American families by expanding the Child Tax Credit and slashing child care costs.

I hope you’re excited about all this good news as I am. And, I hope you’ll take that excitement and chip in a donation of $20.22 to my re-election campaign so I can continue to vote in favor of bills like this one that are catered specifically towards what we need.

Thank you to my colleagues who wrote and voted for such a transformative bill, and thank you to all of you who fought alongside us.

Yours truly,
Doris
