Hey John,

I have some great news to share--the Build Back Better Act passed the U.S. House early this morning!

And, not only that, but all of Oregon’s Democratic U.S. Representatives voted yes--including Rep. Schrader. Send a quick email to your U.S. Representative and thank them for voting YES on the Build Back Better Act [[link removed]]!

This once-in-a-generation opportunity for climate action will put the U.S. on track to create millions of good-paying jobs in clean energy, while saving families hundreds of dollars a year on energy bills, and investing directly in low-income communities and communities of color. The Build Back Better Act will put us on track to cut our country’s greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, which is what scientists say we need in order to address the climate crisis. Please send a quick thank you to your U.S. Representative for voting yes on the Build Back Better Act [[link removed]]!

We also owe a thank you to all of you--the environmental activists who have been working tirelessly to pass the Build Back Better Act; those who wrote LTE’s and op-eds, made phone calls, sent emails, posted on social media, and more. Thanks to you, we’re a step closer to passing the strongest climate action plan in U.S. history.

Please make sure to send your U.S. Representative a thank you email [[link removed]], and then stand by for the Senate vote! We’re almost there.

Thank you for your activism,
Lindsey Scholten
Deputy Director, OLCV
