The BBB will close the Medicaid coverage gap — delivering health care to over 640,000 Georgians based on a bill I led in the House. This legislation also includes several other priorities such as lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs, universal Pre-K, expanded Child Tax Credit, the expansion of Pell grants, and so much more. All while combating the climate crisis.

Lastly, the bill is fully paid for without any tax hikes for everyday Americans.

This is a huge step forward for the American people, but our work is nowhere near finished.

After our losses in Virginia earlier this month, Republicans feel empowered to take control of the House and gerrymander Democrats across Georgia out of Congress. We have to work hard and remind voters that when Democrats are in charge, we create real progress and get things done. We cannot take anything for granted.
