Earlier today, on the same day his historic investment in working families passed the House, President Biden also took important action to change the composition of the USPS Board — removing a key ally of Donald Trump's Postmaster General appointee, Louis DeJoy.

This move will go far in preventing Louis DeJoy from continuing his destructive policies, which have led to severe mail delivery and reliability issues — and increased costs for everyday Americans who rely on our postal service for critical services.

USPS Governing Board Chair, Ron Bloom, who was a top DeJoy ally, played a critical role in helping facilitate DeJoy's harmful actions. The two men were not only ideological allies: Bloom also happened to have a direct financial relationship with DeJoy.

Today, I'm happy to announce that our work together calling for action to protect USPS and exposing these abuses was heard in the White House. President Biden's decision to replace Ron Bloom on the governing board will go far to block DeJoy's attacks against our postal service!
