VICTORY FOR BIPARTISANSHIP

Can you believe it? The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has finally been signed into law. It soared through the Senate with bipartisan support in August, and after three months of will-they-or-won't-they, the House passed it earlier this month. President Biden signed it Monday on the South Lawn surrounded by Republicans and Democrats.

This is a huge victory for No Labels and America. We are getting better roads, improved ports, safer drinking water – the list goes on and on.

This never would have happened without YOU and all our amazing No Labels members.

If you want to see more of Washington working together – all of us at No Labels certainly do – then share this with your friends and help No Labels continue to grow and push for two-party solutions.

Statement From No Labels National Co-chairs Gov. Larry Hogan and Sen. Joe Lieberman

"On Monday, shortly before signing the bipartisan infrastructure bill, President Biden argued ‘compromise and consensus’ is ‘the only way to move this country forward.’

We agree, but the Build Back Better bill fails at President Biden's own test. At a time of rising inflation, a supply chain crisis, and heightened economic anxiety, one party pushing their agenda through won't move this country forward. It will just continue the destructive and divisive cycle—perpetuated by leaders on both sides—of passing transformative legislation with no input and no voters from the other party.

Let’s not squander the bipartisan momentum from the infrastructure law. We urge the White House and leaders in Congress to stop their headlong push to pass a one-party reconciliation bill and to commit to solving our other major national challenges the same way they solved our infrastructure problem—with both parties at the table.”

Monday's signing of the bipartisan infrastructure bill was a big win for all Americans. But what does it say about the state of our politics that some Republicans are facing death threats for voting for it?

Sinema Speaks Up — And Shakes Off Her Critics
By Burgess Everett & Marianne Levine

“I've been concerned at the push that happens in both parties, this push to have no disagreements. To only have unity or to only speak with one voice. And some will say, ‘Oh, that is our strength,’” Sinema said.  “Having some disagreement is normal. It is real, it is human. And it's an opportunity for us as mature beings to work through it."

WATCH: Courage Under Political Fire

Thirteen House Republicans bucked their party leadership to put the bipartisan infrastructure bill over the top. Now, they’re being called “traitors” by members of their own party, facing primary challenges, and even getting death threats. Their courage under political fire should be honored, not condemned.
