BREAKING: House passes $1.75 trillion Biden plan that funds universal pre-K, Medicare expansion and renewable energy credits
- CNBC
Team,
Today I cast my vote to pass the Build Back Better bill. Here's why: President Biden's Build Back Better framework is the historic legislation we need to create jobs, lower drug costs, and cut taxes so we can rebuild the middle class. The Build Back Better bill will invest in working families, improve our economy, expand affordable health care, and combat climate change by:
- Extending the enhanced Child Tax Credit, benefitting 77% of New Hampshire families.
- Putting affordable child care in reach for families of 67,000 children in New Hampshire.
- Expanding workforce development and training programs.
- Providing $5 billion to repair and upgrade VA hospitals and facilities.
- Investing in fighting climate change.
- Lowering the costs of prescription drugs by letting Medicare negotiate with drug companies, capping costs, and reducing premiums.
Today we started a process to ensure that Granite State families can succeed and thrive by bringing down the cost of everyday expenses; investing in our workforce, small businesses, and manufacturers; and improving services for veterans.
With the bipartisan Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act signed into law and the Build Back Better bill passed in the House, we're at a turning point right now. But we still need the Senate to get this legislation across the finish line.
Will you add your name to join me in calling on the Senate to pass the Build Back Better Act and send this critical legislation to President Biden's desk?
