I have good news -- by reaching an agreement on SALT relief in the Build Back Better Act, which passed through the House today, we’re closer than ever to addressing the harmful SALT deduction cap and putting an end to the financial burden it places on New Jersey families over the past four years.
The cap, implemented in Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, hurts New Jersey families, seniors, teachers, and first responders. By providing SALT deduction cap relief, we can put money back in their pockets and lift up our whole economy. This is a tax cut for families in our district.
But here’s the problem -- I’m a top target for Washington Republicans and GOP enthusiasm in our district is higher than ever after the recent New Jersey gubernatorial race. They’re doing everything they can to unseat me in their effort to retake the House Majority, and frankly, they’re just getting started.
I’m counting on strong grassroots support to make sure we have the resources to overcome the onslaught of dark money and outside attacks. Can you chip in to my re-election campaign before the end of the day so I can continue delivering for New Jersey families?
Thanks for all you do,
Mikie
