John, it's been a busy past few weeks on the Philadelphia City Council. Today, I’d like to update you on some of what I’ve been working on to improve the lives of Philadelphians.

  • On Election Day, both of my ballot initiatives — expanding Philly’s Housing Trust Fund and calling on Pennsylvania legislators to decriminalize, regulate, and tax cannabis for adult-use — passed with widespread support.
  • This month we held a hearing regarding fixing Philly schools’ mold and asbestos problem, and my measure to increase economic opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and disabled-owned businesses was passed.
  • I am continuing my work to reform Philadelphia’s taxes through the Tax Reform Working Group, and my work to establish a public banking system in Philadelphia — and I’m proud to announce that I was selected as a finalist for The New Deal Ideas Challenge due to this innovative plan.

John, my work to transform Philadelphia into the best city it can be is fueled through your support. Can I count on you to chip in today so I can continue fighting for you on Council?
