After months of negotiating, I am so happy to have helped my colleagues pass the Build Back Better Act in the House.

This bill, combined with the infrastructure package recently signed into law, will fundamentally change the lives of American families for the better.

If signed into law, it will...

Provide paid leave so that workers don’t have to choose between a paycheck or being there for their family when it counts.

Help lower the costs of prescription medications for millions of Americans by allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices.

Increase access to affordable child care and cut taxes for working families.

Create good-paying jobs and bring more people back into the workforce.

And more!

But, friends, none of this would have been possible without a Democratic majority in the House. Not a single Republican voted for this bill, and you can bet that neither of my extremist opponents would have, either.
