Friends -- First off, I want to say thank you. Throughout this entire campaign and now in the runoff, it's been folks like you that have helped keep me going. Whether it's grassroots donations or the show of support before the debate, these things make a big difference and I can't say enough how grateful I am.

Now, I imagine you know what's coming next in this email. It's true -- I am going to ask you for a contribution. We're very close to reaching our end-of-month grassroots fundraising goal of $25,000. In fact, friend, we're only $6,522 away as of this morning. I know we can reach this goal before midnight tonight. My question for you right now is if you'll help out and pitch in whatever you can.

I'm sure you've heard before from campaigns that the stakes couldn't be higher. But it's true -- and high stakes come with the territory. When we tackle big challenges, like turning massive deficits into a surplus and expanding access to healthcare, we see just how much an election can mean.

Friend, with so much progress on the line, and with this runoff getting closer by the day, can I count on you to help us reach our midnight fundraising goal?
