I’m so proud to have played a huge role in passing the Build Back Better Act through committee in the House and now on to the Senate.

This legislation is going to provide so many amazing things for our families: universal pre-K, child tax credits, paid family leave, clean energy funding, affordable housing, free school meals, and so much more. I’m thinking about all the working mothers and families out there like mine who just need a chance to get ahead, and that’s what we’re going to deliver.

This year, I have stood up to Donald Trump at his second impeachment trial, led the fight for voting rights, criminal justice reform and equal rights for the territories. And now passing this historic, once-in-a-generation investment into our families and communities.

With this legislation, we are going to lower costs and create good-paying jobs. We’ll continue lifting children out of poverty, raising wages, and making big investments in clean energy to tackle the hottest summer on record and $100 billion in damage from extreme weather events.

Now our task is to get this legislation through the Senate and signed into law so that the American people can start feeling the benefits of it right away!

We can’t repeat the same failures of the past by not discussing what this legislation is going to do for people.
