Friend,
Remember the “D.I.Y.” turkey handprint growing up?
Right before your eyes, your tiny hand transformed on paper into a holiday turkey! As a little boy, Luke LOVED the ones his mom made for him.
Luke was young when his mom died, and when his struggling family fell on hard times, Luke’s life plunged into chaos and he ended up homeless and alone. When Luke came to us, things changed.
With his local VOA’s help, Luke is now working and living in an apartment. And he even managed to salvage one of his mom’s old turkey drawings. Tattered, but something he cherishes forever.
Your gift to VOA is extra important this Thanksgiving season to provide critical relief and support to people we're helping right now. People like Luke, who just need someone to care. Donations can provide emergency services and support, too.
VOA has served people in need nationwide with locally rooted support for over 123 years. But it's only possible, thanks to a compassionate network of community supporters.
Can I count on your gift? It's an especially tough time of year for the people we're serving. Every single gift is needed for care and support that we know can change, and save lives, like it did for Luke.
Thank you for all you do for those in need.

Volunteers of America
P.S. Channel your gratitude this holiday: to action for others. A VOA donation means so much to those we're serving this Thanksgiving and holiday season. Thanks again!
