I’m asking you to make a contribution today to my campaign so that we can meet our October goal. But before I do that, I want to tell you about why it’s so urgent.

Bettina, Whitney, and I regularly check in on our goals and our progress. This team has been disciplined, and I’m proud to say that we’re on our way to hitting our benchmarks before our election year.

Now, we’re feeling significant urgency. The conservative group Club for Growth launched an aggressive digital ad campaign against us just this past week. Before that, the Republican National Committee ran hundreds of thousands of dollars of TV ads against me in my district.

They’re trying to inflict as much damage as possible before next year. Their goal is to mislead Virginians about my legislative record and scare people with lies.

They’re not going to be successful because we’re running a disciplined, people-first campaign focused on the issues that matter most to Central Virginia families. In order to be successful, our plans include significant fundraising in 2019 and achieving our monthly goals.
