American soldiers were saved from an impending Iranian attack, thanks to our ally Israel.
Last month, Iran launched a "deliberate and coordinated" drone attack on an American military base in Syria—where 200 U.S. troops are stationed.
The drones were loaded with ball bearings and shrapnel. According to the U.S. military, Iran ordered the attack with a “clear intent to kill.”
But the 200 Americans were evacuated to safety hours earlier—alerted by Israeli intelligence that an attack was imminent.
Our ally helped save American lives, thwart Iranian terrorism, and prevent untold destruction.
This is just the latest example of why our work together is so vital, and why I’m proud to fight alongside you every day to ensure this partnership remains strong.
Thank you for your commitment to AIPAC. I wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving.

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Strengthens U.S.-Israel Relationship READ MORE
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield traveled to Israel this week, meeting with Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Defense Minister Benny Gantz and President Isaac Herzog.
While there, IDF officials took Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield on a tour of Israel's borders and to see Israel's Iron Dome and David's Sling missile defense systems.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield: "This morning, the IDF shared a look at the Iron Dome and David’s Sling systems, which our nations developed together to save the lives of innocent civilians. We will replenish the Iron Dome system and support Israel’s ability to defend itself."
The big picture: America’s partnership with Israel helps keep both countries stronger and safer.

Palestinian Teaching Materials Continue to Demonize Israel and Incite Violence READ MORE
Palestinian leaders use school books to promote antisemitism and praise terrorists.
The latest: A new study found that Waed, a magazine published by Fatah's youth movement and distributed in Palestinian Authority schools, demonizes Israel and incites violence.
The study covered 17 issues of Waed and found that the magazine glorifies terrorists who murdered Israelis as heroes and anticipates a Palestinian state that will replace all of Israel, including the removal of all Israelis.
The magazines also include references to "the giant Israeli murder machine" and "the Israeli monster," and accuse Israel of behaving like Nazis.
The bottom line: This dangerous incitement deliberately undermines progress toward peace and coexistence.
A New Era: Israel Looks Next Door to Build Solar Plants And Cut Emissions READ MORE
Israel, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates are set to sign a deal on Monday, pushed along by U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, to build a massive solar farm in the Jordanian desert.
The plan calls for the UAE-funded solar farm to provide energy mainly to Israel, which will build a desalination plant on its Mediterranean coast to provide water to Jordan.
Why it matters: This is the biggest regional cooperation project ever undertaken between Israel and its neighbors.
Discussions are also underway for potential joint solar energy projects in Egypt, Greece, Cyprus and countries further afield.
Context: This is part of Israel's plans to cut carbon emissions and bolster its green technology sector.
The big picture: Engaging with Israel, rather than boycotting Israel, creates remarkable opportunities for peace, progress and a brighter future.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
