John, after a very long night, we finally passed the President’s Build Back Better agenda in the House this morning!
I’ve been working around the clock for months, making sure that this bill takes care of women and families, and I’m so proud to have voted yes on it today. We have marked a historic moment in our country, and I’m so excited to deliver this bill to the American people.
Building back better is all about helping working families in ways like:
- Expanding and improving the Child Tax Credit
- Authorizing the first-ever, universal, comprehensive paid leave benefit for all U.S. workers
- Adding two years of free, universal pre-k education
- Bettering access to affordable higher education by increasing federal funding for colleges, universities, and trade schools
Days like today are why I first ran for Congress and why I’m running for re-election next November.
