Attorney General Keith Ellison and State Auditor Julie Blaha both announced their re-election campaigns this week, rounding out our statewide DFL ticket heading into 2022. 

We were always anticipating a tough midterm fight. But after what happened in Virginia, it’s clear that keeping Minnesota blue in 2022 will be one of the most difficult challenges our Party has ever faced.

Our organizing team is investing in every corner of the state to hold the line — opening offices from Ely to Winona and rapidly expanding their organizing staff earlier than ever before. The work they’re doing right now will be the difference between winning and losing next year. 

That’s why I had to reach out right away. I just ran our latest progress report, and due to their accelerated hiring, our organizing program is still facing a significant funding shortfall.

We still need to raise more than $8,000 to meet their budget. Will you contribute $5 or whatever you can make work by 11:59 pm to help us get there?

The MN GOP has shown us time and time again they want nothing more than to take us back to the divisive, fact-free politics of Donald Trump. Republicans at all levels of government have doubled down on the Big Lie, spread dangerous COVID-19 misinformation, pledged to support Texas-style abortion bans, make it easier for dangerous people to get guns, and so much more.

John, we can’t let this Republican party retake power and undo everything Governor Walz, Lt. Governor Flanagan, Attorney General Ellison, and our DFL leaders up and down the ballot accomplished to get Minnesota on the path to coming back stronger than ever before.
