THE WASHINGTON POST: Opinion: Republicans are becoming more diverse. That’s a great thing. As The Washington Post
rightfully points out, our Grand Old Party is becoming more diverse by the day. E-PAC was proud to lead the charge in 2020 to grow the ranks of GOP women in Congress to the largest number in our nation’s history. Last cycle 11 out of the 15 seats that flipped red were won by E-PAC endorsed Republican women. And we're just getting started! “In 2020, every congressional seat that flipped from blue to red was captured by a woman or a minority. Republican women and minorities won open primaries in safely red congressional seats, too.
Nor is this progress limited to Congress. Three Republican governors are women, and Republican women hold significant leadership positions in 21 states.
These trends are likely to accelerate in 2022.” Read the full article here.

ABC NEWS: Economic discontent, criticisms of Biden lift GOP to record early advantage: POLL Republicans are surging across the nation! GOP congressional candidates now hold the greatest lead in midterm election favorability over the past 40 years. “While a year is a lifetime in politics, the Democratic Party’s difficulties are deep; they include soaring economic discontent, a president who’s fallen 12 percentage points underwater in job approval and a broad sense that the party is out of touch with the concerns of most Americans — 62% say so.” “Among the key factors is the economy. With inflation soaring, 70% say the economy is in bad shape, up from 58% last spring. While just half blame Biden directly for inflation -- its worst in 31 years —
his approval for handling the economy overall is down to 39%, off 6 points just since early September and 13 points from last spring.” “In terms of
Biden’s job performance overall, a new low of 41% approve, while 53% disapprove, highly similar to his rating on the economy. Biden’s lost 11 points in approval since spring, accelerating with the coronavirus Delta surge and continuing with inflation.” Read the full story here. |
BLOOMBERG: US Holiday Sales Will Grow Up to 10.5% This Year, NRF Says “Retailers are forecasting a
record holiday spending season. But for one in ten Americans, prices rising at the fastest pace in 30 years will dampen the Christmas spirit.”
“Inflation is especially taking a toll on lower-income families, who spend roughly a third of their earnings on essentials like food and energy. It’s eating into recent
wage increases, and the timing couldn’t be worse after federal pandemic relief expired for about 7.5 million people.” Elise had this to say: |

GOP WOMAN OF THE WEEK: Jeanine Lawson (VA-10)
|
E-PAC was proud to recently endorse Jeanine Lawson for Congress.
Jeanine Lawson is a proven winner who is running to take on Jennifer Wexton in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. Since 2014, she has served on the Board of County Supervisors representing the Brentsville District, one of the fastest-growing districts in the state.
Jeanine has worked to uphold Smart Growth Principles and fought tirelessly for rural communities in Prince William County. Jeanine also serves as Vice-Chair of the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Operations Board and as Chairman of the Innovation Owner’s Association Board of Directors.
She has a track record of winning and serving her constituents in a tough, blue district. There’s no doubt that Jeanine has what it takes to win VA-10 and help us take back the majority next November. E-PAC is ALL IN for Jeanine, but we need you to step up now and donate to help Jeanine flip this critical seat.
