Big pharma and big insurance wield incredible power in the halls of Congress. Through intense lobbying efforts and direct and indirect contributions to candidates, they have successfully bent the political will of Congress to do their bidding.
That’s why we’re demanding that every candidate running for President in 2020 reject toxic contributions from industries that are exploiting seniors!
Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have already taken the pledge. With the next Democratic debate just 10 days away, we need to keep up the pressure on the other 23 candidates!

Even Donald Trump ran on reining in big pharma―only to turn around and appoint a predatory pharmaceutical executive to his cabinet.
This pledge is about more than any one candidate. This is about the corrosive influence of money that makes politicians of both parties serve corporations, not people. Democrats must lead by example and reject the money and influence that has for too long resulted in laws and policies that bankrupt U.S. families.
