John,
On December 1, SCOTUS will begin hearing oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
Since 2018, lower courts have blocked Mississippi’s unconstitutional 15-week abortion ban since it obviously violates the protections of Roe v. Wade, but this new Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case, signaling the greatest chance of overturning Roe v. Wade in fifty years.
According to Ms. Magazine, anti-abortion protesters are emboldened by the case, and harassment has gotten so intense that the only abortion clinic left in the state — the Jackson Women’s Health Organization — can no longer have local doctors. They have to have a rotating group of five different doctors fly in every week.
As part of our mission to support prochoice efforts across the country, we invite you to lend your support to the last abortion clinic in Mississippi.
Click here to donate to the Jackson Women’s Health Organization so they can care for their patients, who often travel from hours away.
Or you can donate to the Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund, a group that provides financial assistance to patients as well as resources like free birth control.
This work is critical, and we thank you for joining the fight to keep abortion legal and available in Mississippi.
