Friend,

Facebook – now known as Meta – can no longer ignore the negative impacts Instagram has on kids for the benefit of their bottom line. Yesterday, I announced a nationwide, bipartisan investigation into Instagram to protect young people from online harm.

Read and share my interview with the Wall Street Journal to spread the word that Facebook can’t keep harming our children through Instagram. >>> [link removed]

For years, Facebook has known that its platforms pose a real threat to the physical and mental health and wellbeing of children. Their own internal research found that Instagram usage is linked to increases in depression, eating disorders, and suicide among young people.

Instead of addressing these concerns, Facebook ignored them – or possibly even doubled down on their manipulative tactics. That’s why I’m co-leading an investigation into Facebook’s potential violations of consumer protection laws with my attorneys general partners across the country.

Will you help us send a strong message to Facebook that they can’t put their profits over the health and wellbeing of kids? Please share this Wall Street Journal article with your friends and family today. >>> [link removed]

Thanks for all you do,

Maura
