New for 2020: AFSCME expands college program

When we talk about the union difference, we mean a lot of different things – higher wages, retirement security, stronger communities. But one big union difference is the unique set of benefits available only to AFSCME members. Today, we’re expanding those benefits with an online bachelor’s degree completion program for you and your family that will cost a fraction of what you’d pay without your union membership!

AFSCME is partnering with Ohio’s Central State University, a regionally accredited, public land-grant university established in 1887, to bring members this amazing opportunity! AFSCME members, active Retirees and their eligible family members can now complete an online bachelor’s degree at a huge discount. Rates will vary depending on the level of federal or employer grants a student qualifies for and may even be completely free. But they won’t be more than $190 per credit hour, which is only a third of the national average.*

Visit bachelorsdegree.afscme.org to get more information on eligibility, applying for aid and more.

Classes begin January 13, so apply now ... and take advantage of the union difference.

In solidarity,

Lee Saunders
AFSCME President

Elissa McBride
AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer

*The students’ final out of pocket cost is based on CSU’s current tuition and fee schedule. In the event of a future tuition and/or fee rate change, advanced notice will be provided.
