This morning, I proudly cast my vote in favor of the Build Back Better Act. Earlier this month I promised you I wouldn't rest until we got this bill over the finish line in the House, and I meant it!

The Build Back Better Act will give hard-working Americans the break they've needed for a long time. Things have been tough for far too many families for far too long. Way before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, working families were struggling to put food on the table, access child care and get lifesaving prescriptions.

The Build Back Better Act is one of the most significant votes I've ever taken in Congress. It's no exaggeration to say that it will change millions of Americans' lives for the better.

Here's just some of what's included in this historic legislation:

- The largest ever federal investment in clean energy;
- Universal preschool for all three- and four-year olds;
- Expansion of the Child Tax Credit;
- Extended federal paid family leave;
- Healthcare expansion and childcare cost cuts;
- Funding for affordable housing;
- Cost limits for insulin and other life saving drugs;
- And so much more!

The Build Back Better Act is part of a larger commitment to protect workers and families in America. No matter what zip code you live in, you deserve access to quality healthcare, economic opportunity, and so much more.

The work continues, but I hope you'll celebrate this monumental moment with me. As our President has been known to say, this thing is a pretty big deal!
