For years now, the Democratic party has made Trump the number one target. The priority was to "beat Trump" -- but as we can see, Trump was the
least of our problems.
His presidency along with racist rhetoric has emboldened loud and proud white supremacists everywhere.
It's evident in the wave of white supremacist legislators not only running for office around the country, but also winning.
This is not the time to give up or give in, John.
As a matter of fact, it's the opposite. The time is now for us to ramp up our fundraising, do some major planning ahead of the midterm elections, and put our people-power to advance Black political power.

We knew long before Trump that racism is still alive and well in this country. The reality is that it's never gone away. It's only been pushed further into the underbelly of our society.
But here we are in 2021, and we're seeing some of the most racist policies enacted since Jim Crow. All over the country, states are passing voter discrimination bills that directly target Black voters. The only way to combat this is by working together to overcome state-sanctioned discrimination of Black voters and expand our voter outreach in ways like never before.
Really and truly, we've heard enough about Trump. It's time to go after the right-wing extremists he's emboldened to run for office on the local, state, and federal levels. These people have the power to impact the day-to-day lives of Black folk nationwide, and won't stop until they've succeeded.
A year may seem like a long time away, but in reality it's not. We have to start recruiting volunteers, registering voters, and fundraising NOW to build and maintain the power we need to win leading up to the midterm elections.
