Barbara and House Democrats just voted to pass the Build Back Better Act — a historic, comprehensive spending bill that addresses a multitude of progressive priorities.

This bill includes the largest climate investment in American history — this is just step one as we set out to tackle the climate crisis with bold, proactive action and protect our future.

It also includes $400 billion for the care economy, which is a monumental victory for working families at a critical moment for our country.

Crucial investments in housing were also a part of the final bill, with $150 billion put into affordable housing, investments in rental assistance programs, and down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers.

With the slimmest of margins, we put over one trillion dollars toward the needs of the people. This would never have been possible without the advocacy of Barbara and House progressives, who stood firm to ensure the needs of working families were addressed in this bill.
