Friend,

When I voted to pass the landmark Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, I did so only with the commitment from the President and my colleagues that the Build Back Better Act would be next.

I’m proud to share with you that today, I held our party to the promise we made to American working families, and together, House Democrats passed the Build Back Better Act.

This bill makes critical investments in healthcare, childcare, affordable housing, environmental justice, and good jobs. And everyone who calls this country home -- Latinos, Black Americans, Indigenous people, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, our immigrant communities, and working families -- are included. Led by progressives, Democrats didn’t leave anyone behind.

Passing this bill was a huge step forward for all of us, but I know that we still have a long way to go in our fight for a more equitable America. I will continue fighting for a pathway to citizenship, for climate solutions, and for the working women and men who are the backbone of this country.

Can I count on you to fight by my side?

Thank you,
Chuy
