New Poll Demonstrates Success of Monthly CTC Payments

Millions of families have received the monthly expanded federal Child Tax Credit payments in 2021 — a true testament of the monumental impact the American Rescue Plan that was passed in March is having on the lives of families. New survey data from an Ipsos poll commissioned by CLASP and several partners show that the expanded credit improved the lives of families with low incomes and provided financial security to pay for things like food, clothes, and rent.

CLASP and parents, providers, and other advocates joined together to create the Child Care for Every Family Network, a groundbreaking partnership dedicated to ensuring America builds a child care system that works for everyone. The Network convenes, supports, and activates stakeholders directly involved in and impacted by child care to build a transformed child care system. 

 

On November 16, Olivia Golden and other advocates gathered on Capitol Hill to urge Congress to deliver on paid leave and child care investments in the Build Back Better plan. View a recording of the event here.

 

On November 10, CLASP co-hosted a briefing where parents, providers, small business leaders and policy experts spoke about the transformative child care and early learning funding in the Build Back Better plan.
