As flooding, mudslides and rockslides continue to wreak havoc across British Columbia, The Salvation Army's emergency disaster services is on the scene providing support to evacuees and first responders in multiple communities.

EDS teams are busy in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Kamloops and Kelowna, supporting evacuees from Hope, Princeton and Merritt. Along with food and hydration, the Army is providing shelter, blankets, jackets and much-needed emotional and spiritual care.

EDS volunteers are also preparing 1,300 meals daily that are being airlifted (via government helicopters) to Hope where 1,200 people are stranded due to closed highways and limited food and power.

The Army will continue to provide support as long as we are needed. Donate to the B.C. Flood Response Fund to help these communities today and in the aftermath of these floods.

Donations may be made online at www.salvationarmy.ca/bcflood or through
1-800-SAL-ARMY.
