"Not to be melodramatic, but the South is burning."

The absence of federal voting rights protections are eroding our right to vote in states across the country. Extremist lawmakers are using gerrymandering, voter suppression, and outright fear-mongering to try and silence Black voters, and voting rights activists are sounding the alarm.
The Vote To Live Campaign has faced the odds before. We've gone up against voter suppression laws, misinformation campaigns, and more, and we still got Black voters to the polls.
We plan to make history again in 2022. And that means helping register and engage Black voters no matter what red tape extremist lawmakers try to put in our way.
Today, we need to start building the resources we'll need to register even more Black voters before the 2022 midterms. We set a goal of raising $5,000 before tomorrow's mid-month deadline. Will you chip in now to fuel our voter engagement efforts?
I wish I was exaggerating when I say the months ahead will make or break our democracy. But I'm telling you the truth. Even former United States Attorney General Eric Holder said our democracy is at risk "to a degree we have not seen since the Civil War."
We aren't going to back down from this fight. Our right to vote is sacred, and we've proven that when we use our voice and vote, we strengthen our democracy so that it works for the people.
But, we can't play this game using the same old rule book. The pathway to victory is going to take all of us working together, organizing, and chipping in what we can to fuel this voter engagement campaign. Donate what you can before our mid-month deadline to help us hit the ground running »
Onward,
Stefanie
