The House of Representatives just passed two of the largest climate bills in American history — the Build Back Better Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021. By approving both of these landmark bills, the United States has taken a monumental step towards a healthier, safer and more stable future for all Americans.

The House has delivered on transformative investments that will accelerate our transition to a clean economy, reduce pollution, create good jobs and lower costs for consumers! Join us in thanking our leaders for investing in our future!

The Build Back Better Act contains historic investments for our environment and communities that will slash pollution and drive forward progress to tackle the climate crisis. Combined with the provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the U.S. is poised to invest nearly a trillion dollars in key climate investments. This includes efforts to upgrade and modernize our electrical grid, eliminate lead service lines and protect vulnerable coastal communities from the impacts of extreme weather. 

Thanks to your Representative’s support, the U.S. has approved the single largest effort to combat climate change in American history! By putting climate at the center of our economy Americans will see substantial changes in:
 

• Clean Energy Manufacturing: From wind turbines and solar panels, to electric vehicle technology (for clean trucks, buses and cars), this bill has critical incentives that will establish the U.S. as a global leader in clean energy — creating new, good-paying union jobs across the nation. 
   
• Electric Vehicles: This bill includes key investments in EV infrastructure, including a national network of charging stations, in addition to new EV tax credits that will make these vehicles more accessible and affordable than ever.
   
• Renewable Energy: The Build Back Better Act includes incentives that will grow domestic clean energy from solar and wind, invest in storage and transmission, and make our energy grid more resilient.

These are tangible investments that will benefit every American and put our nation on track to meet the President’s ambitious climate agenda. But we can’t claim victory just yet! As we prepare for the final step, all eyes are on the Senate — who will ultimately advance this bill to the President’s desk. Only by working together, can we protect these critical climate investments and pave the way to a zero-emissions future.
