Next Tuesday will see the return of our wildly popular annual Ayn Rand Lecture, with this year's guest speaker being serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson

Johnson is one of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs. He is Chairman and founder of Risk Capital Partners LLP and a former chairman of Channel 4 Television. He wrote a weekly column for successively The Sunday Telegraph, The Financial Times and The Sunday Times for a combined total of 20 years. In the 1990s he was Chairman of Pizza Express PLC. Currently he is Chairman of Brighton Pier Group PLC, and a director and significant shareholder of both Gail’s artisan bakeries and Brompton Bicycles. He has written a number of books about business, and co-founded The Centre for Entrepreneurs think tank.

His talk, titled "Entrepreneurs – the Last Best Hope", will argue that entrepreneurs are society’s finest defence against a risk-averse, overcautious culture. Government and big business are not the answer to our challenges.

There's not long left to secure your place and join hundreds of others in the prestigious Drapers' Hall for the post-lockdown event of the season!
