John,

House Democrats just passed the Build Back Better Act, a $1.75 trillion package of investments in child care, paid leave, more affordable healthcare, climate action, and more.

It’s the biggest investment in children and caregiving in generations, and the largest effort to combat climate change in U.S. history.

Here’s just a sample of what the BBB Act will do for Pennsylvanians:

  • Expand Medicaid, lower prescription drug prices, and cut health insurance premiums, making it the biggest step to more affordable care in a decade;

  • Extend the Child Tax Credit, which provides up to $3,600 in tax credits to families, as well as create free, universal pre-kindergarten and pre-school for every 3- and 4-year-old, and provide 4 weeks of paid leave to workers;

  • Provide rebates and tax breaks to middle-class families who switch to clean energy, create thousands of jobs in wind and solar, restore our coasts and forests, and create a new Civilian Conservation Corps.

And that’s only the beginning of the benefits this bill has to offer!

Despite the huge positive impact BBB will have for people here in Pennsylvania’s 1st District, Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted AGAINST it, putting party lines before the people he was elected to serve.

Now, it’s up to the U.S. Senate to pass this legislation and get it done for the American people.

This goes to show what happens with Democrats in leadership. We can’t risk losing this and future opportunities to make progress next November if Republicans take back the House.

If we turn this seat blue in 2022, we can save our Democratic majority and continue to deliver positive change for Pennsylvania and the country. Help me do it: pitch in $5, $10, or whatever you can afford to fuel our campaign today.
