Tuesday, The House Science Committee passed Rep. Stephanie Bice's (OK-05) bipartisan NWR Modernization Act, which will upgrade the life-saving National Weather Radio warning system and help save lives. It now heads to the House floor.
Also Tuesday at a GOP Senate leadership press conference, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) spoke on how inflation and the supply chain breakdown impacts vulnerable Iowans. You can watch here. Wednesday, Rep. Young Kim's (CA-39) bill to protect the Uyghur community in China gained momentum. The Uyghur Policy Act calls on China to recognize the distinct identity of Uyghurs and end their arbitrary detention. Also Wednesday, Rep. Beth Van Duyne (TX-24) laid out what necessities Americans are paying more for as they head into the holiday season. Thursday, in an effort to confront the supply chain crisis, Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-01) co-sponsored legislation to address the shortage of truck drivers. Also Thursday, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) pushed back on the Democrats' "Build Back Better" plan that will raise taxes and exasperate current economic issues. You can watch here.
Friday, every House Republican voted against the $1.7 trillion package of tax, health care, education, and climate initiatives. The bill is the most significant restructuring of the safety net in decades. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said the sprawling package would increase the federal budget deficit by $160 billion over the next 10 years. Read more here. In The News

Fox News: Florida Rep. rips Biden admin for 'perpetuating' border crisis: It's a 'slap in the face'’. Florida GOP congresswoman Kat Cammack ripped the Biden administration over its reported covert migrant flights into the Sunshine State, accusing it of perpetuating the crisis at the southern border.
The Flordian: Salazar: All Cuba Needs is The ’Green Light’ From Biden To Provide Internet Access. Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL) blasted President Biden Tuesday for not giving “the green light” in providing internet access to the Cuban people, giving excuses for their refusal to help the protestors showcase the communist regime plan in its crackdown over the historic demonstrations by blocking the “connectivity” in the island.
