Dear Friends, This week, Joe Biden’s Department of Education launched an investigation into Southlake Carroll ISD because our community chose to reject the brainwashing of our kids through Critical Race Theory teachings. This move is a clear example of federal government's overreach into local communities and their blatant disregard for the rights of states, communities, schools, and parents. Joe Biden and his progressive liberal machine have no right to interfere in one of the highest performing school districts in Texas, and they have no right to try to steamroll the rights and voices of parents in determining what is best for their kids. I am proud to have founded Southlake Families to counter the onslaught of CRT and other liberal ideologies into schools by electing strong, conservative candidates to our School Board. It is incomprehensible that the Department of Education is now targeting Carroll ISD in retribution for parents expressing their right to have a say in our children’s education. Local control of schools and education is one of the great privileges of being American. The Biden Administration’s intent to deny parents control over their children’s education is a crime against American values and traditions. As your next County Judge, I will do everything in my power to ensure parents have a seat at the table when it comes to the education of their children.
