John,

The Biden administration is preparing to lease out more than one million acres of Alaska’s Cook Inlet to oil and gas drilling.

We’re doing everything we can to stop this disastrous sale. Can you help?

The science is clear: To avoid the most catastrophic impacts of the climate crisis, we must leave fossil fuels in the ground. Alaska is already experiencing coastal erosion, increased storm effects, sea-ice retreat and permafrost melt caused by climate change. Villages have been forced to relocate due to sea-level rise. Worsening the climate crisis by extracting and burning more fossil fuels is incredibly reckless.

The lease sale also threatens Cook Inlet belugas, among the most imperiled whales on the planet. These small cetaceans are especially vulnerable to the noise and pollution associated with oil and gas activities. And their existence is already at risk from an onslaught of other human-caused threats.

Tell the Biden administration to cancel Lease Sale 258 to protect the climate, wildlife and people.
