Dear John ,
According to the 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, the global economy must be completely reinvented by 2050 in order to eliminate net greenhouse gas pollution and hold global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. What this means is that we have a very short window—30 years in fact—to implement the vital solutions [[link removed]] needed to curtail irreversible destruction to our planet.
Just last week, the Trump administration officially announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. This was a shortsighted and irresponsible decision, but solutions still exist that can ensure the country does not fall behind on climate action. States, cities, and businesses across the country are pledging to do the work it takes to create sustainable, innovative and inclusive climate policies—policies that prioritize people and the planet over the fossil fuel industry.

Three decades is not a lot of time to completely reinvent the global economy, but it's not too late to act. We have no time to waste. Tell elected officials that the time to act is now! [[link removed]]

Committing to a 100% clean future is a step toward preserving our planet for future generations. Even though at times it may feel as though we’re heading in the wrong direction, our leaders still have the capacity to make big changes for our communities. So we must demand that they take action TODAY.
Click here to email your state and federal elected leaders to urge them to get educated on the reasons our health, economy, and future are on the line, and tell them to join the call for a 100% clean future. [[link removed]]
