Team, I know you don’t always have the time to read a longer email like this one. But this is really important to me so I hope you’ll read the whole thing.

When we won the White House and majorities in both bodies of Congress, Democrats were thrilled -- but I was a little apprehensive.

Would we be able to pass the critical reforms that the American people desperately needed?

Now, 10 months later, the honest answer is: I don’t know.

The good news is alongside President Biden we HAVE passed incredible legislation like COVID-19 relief, environmental protections, and just recently the incredible $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

But to be honest, I was sorely disappointed that we weren’t able to include the rest of President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda -- paid family leave, free community college, a wealth tax, climate change action, and more.

And as Republicans continue to obstruct, filibuster, and cheat Americans out of these needed reforms, we’re realizing it will take more than two years to undo all of Trump’s damage and enact our own reforms.

That’s why it would be so tragic if Democrats lose the House in 2022.

Because the honest truth is, we’re on the precipice of instituting our progressive vision for America. We just need a few more years.
