The Build Back Better bill is currently taking center stage, and for good reason: this bill will help us rebuild our economy, fight climate threats, and support hardworking Americans. It will also get rid of the Trump-era SALT tax cap, which is aimed at families in coastal areas, just like here in Orange County.

If I were in Congress, I would've joined fellow moderates in active discussion on how to make this bill best for everyone in the long run. But until I'm back in the House, we've got to urge Michelle Steel to vote yes on this one. Like me, she may not like every aspect of the bill, but she has an opportunity to buck her party's agenda and help our constituents.

Will you join me in urging Michelle Steel to vote yes on this bill by signing on today?

Thank you so much!

Harley Rouda served California's 48th district in Congress. In 2018, Harley defeated the 30-year incumbent Dana Rohrabacher in the very first political campaign of Harley's life. During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
