Dear Friend,

From rolling countrysides to vast deserts and everywhere in between, patients count on rural hospitals, health systems, and health care workers to provide lifesaving care in any situation.

In honor of National Rural Hospital Week we’re shining a light on the hospitals and health systems that serve 60 million Americans in rural communities across the country. These hospitals are often the sole comprehensive care provider in their communities and the largest or second largest employer — meaning they’re key to supporting both public health and the local economy.

As important as they are, rural hospitals and health systems are not without their challenges. They navigate technological and transportation accessibility issues, high costs for service, and are vulnerable to federal funding cuts. But through it all, rural hospitals continue to deliver the high-quality care their communities rely on.

Your ongoing support and advocacy is key to ensuring rural hospitals have the funding and resources they need now and into the future. Thank you for being a part of this team and for your commitment to defending quality patient care for all Americans.

These cuts would be especially devastating for rural communities across the nation that are already experiencing an alarming rate of hospital closures. Send a message to Congress now urging them to protect Medicare >> [link removed]
